How this works

Volunteer-run

Who runs what.

India's community for people building, learning and experimenting with Claude. It is organised by volunteers, it is free, and it is not an Anthropic programme.

The model

Three different things.

These get mixed together on most community sites, and mixing them is how people end up believing something was official when it was not.

  • Ambassador-led activity Claude Community Ambassadors Appointed by Anthropic Verified chip on events and cities
  • Builders and contributors Anyone building with Claude Self-submitted, then reviewed Listed in the builder index
  • City interest People who live there Registered by anyone A signal on the map — not a chapter

Ambassadors

Hosting is Anthropic’s to grant.

Claude Community events are hosted globally by Claude Community Ambassadors. Ambassadors are appointed by Anthropic. This website records who holds the status where we can confirm it — it does not confer it, apply for it on anyone's behalf, or influence it.

That is why arbitrary visitors cannot create an event here, and why no city on the map can be claimed. If you want to run Claude Community events where you live, the route is Anthropic's programme.

Become an Ambassador

On the record

  • Verified Aniket Sahu Claude Community Ambassador Confirmed by the Bhopal organisers, September 2026

Every entry names how the status was confirmed. If we cannot say how we know, there is no entry.

Cities

What a dot on the map means.

A city's state is derived from verified records. There is no field anyone can set to make a chapter appear, and no city is ever presented as available to claim.

  • Ambassador-led Claude Community events are hosted here by a verified Ambassador.
  • Event activity Events have happened here. No Ambassador is currently assigned.
  • Community interest People here have registered interest. Nothing is scheduled yet.
  • Discovery No verified community activity here yet.

Take part

Ways in

Most of this is open to anyone. One part of it is not ours to hand out, and that difference is the honest bit.

  1. 01 Attend Find an event Every event so far has been free and open, with registration by approval. Start with whatever is next on the calendar. See what is on
  2. 02 Build Submit what you made Anything you built with Claude — a product, an agent, a tool, a weekend experiment. Submissions are reviewed before they are published. Add your build
  3. 03 Contribute Add yourself to the builder index Say who you are, where you are, and what you are building. This is an open index, not an appointment — anyone building with Claude can be in it. Add yourself
  4. 04 Speak Give a talk or a demo Run a session, walk a room through something you built, or mentor a team through a build day. Submit a talk
  5. 05 Volunteer Help run the room Check-in, stage, photographs, and the unglamorous work that makes a room feel welcoming. Join the crew
  6. 06 Partner Bring a venue or a community Share a space, co-run a session, or bring your members along. Campuses, communities and workspaces welcome. Collaborate

Good to know

Questions

01 Is this run by Anthropic?

No. This is an independent, volunteer-run community of people who build with Claude. Anthropic runs the Claude Community Ambassador programme that some of the events here are hosted under, but this website is not an Anthropic property and does not speak for them.

02 Is it free?

Every event on the record so far has been free. Registration is usually by approval, so put your name down early.

03 Do I need to know how to code?

No. Build days deliberately mix developers with designers, students, and people who simply know a city and its problems well.

04 What should I bring?

A charged laptop and a charger. Sessions use public data only — no special access needed.

05 There is nothing happening in my city. What can I do?

Two things, and they are different. You can register interest for your city, which is a signal for where community activity should go next — it is not an application and it does not create a chapter. And if you want to host Claude Community events yourself, that means becoming a Claude Community Ambassador, which is a programme Anthropic runs.

06 How do I get into the builder index?

Add yourself. Anyone building with Claude in India can submit an entry — it is reviewed before it appears, and being in the index is not the same as being an Ambassador or an organiser.

07 How do I hear about new dates?

New dates land in the community channel first, and every scheduled event appears on this site the moment it is confirmed.
