Ranks Bhopal’s immersion ghats by pollution risk on CPCB Class B criteria, highlighting hotspots and data gaps to prioritise testing and cleaning.
The problem
GhatWatch identifies water pollution risks at Bhopal’s immersion ghats and helps authorities prioritize testing, cleaning, and pollution control.
How it works
GhatWatch is a data-driven solution that identifies water pollution risks at Bhopal’s idol immersion ghats using CPCB Class B water quality criteria. It ranks ghats by risk and highlights pollution hotspots and data gaps to help authorities prioritize testing, cleaning, and pollution control.
How Claude was used
I used Claude Code as an AI coding assistant to develop GhatWatch’s backend. I guided it to analyze the existing dataset, implement water quality risk scoring using CPCB Class B criteria, handle missing and below-detection-limit readings, generate risk rankings and reports, and create automated tests. I then reviewed the implementation and ran 72 tests to verify the results before committing and pushing the code to GitHub.
