Ranks seven Bhopal ghats on dissolved oxygen, BOD and pH against CPCB Class B criteria, flags missing data and writes a Hindi-English action brief.
The problem
MPPCB publishes water-quality data for visarjan ghats in lengthy reports, making it difficult for authorities to compare readings across years and identify where action is needed first. The project document highlights that 42 out of 116 dissolved oxygen readings were below the CPCB Class B threshold, while 100 out of 112 BOD readings exceeded the specified limit. Missing or uneven sampling also makes prioritisation difficult. We aim to turn this scattered historical data into clear, evidence-based priorities for water testing and environmental action.
How it works
Neer Neeti is a data-driven decision-support platform that analyses historical water-quality data from seven Bhopal ghats between 2023 and 2025. It compares dissolved oxygen, BOD and pH readings against selected CPCB Class B criteria and ranks ghats with understandable reasons. It highlights missing data, links findings to their original report pages, and generates a concise Hindi-English action brief. Its goal is to help Bhopal Municipal Corporation prioritise testing, cleaning and aeration based on verifiable evidence.
